I'm Ida Hummeluhr, a travel consultant and private guide. I help curious travellers plan unhurried journeys and discover destinations beyond the obvious — one itinerary, one walk, one conversation at a time.
Originally from Denmark, I lived in Paris before settling in Portugal, where I now call Lisbon home. Along the way I've come to know these places not as a visitor but as a local — the quiet corners, the good tables, the rhythms of everyday life that make a destination feel familiar.
Since 2021 I've run my own travel agency, IH-rejser, building itineraries and experiences for travellers who want something more personal than a package. My approach is simple: listen first. Every trip begins with how you want to feel, what you're curious about, and the pace that suits you — not a checklist of sights.
I believe the best journeys leave enough room for the unexpected: a slow morning, a conversation with a local, a small detour that turns into the memory you keep. My work is to make space for those moments while taking care of every detail.

These are the places I return to and know in detail — but the rest of the world is never far away.
